Marietta Moose Lodge #1823 - "The friendliest place in town"
Governor's Corner
Hello again Fellow Moose Members, men and women alike!

It has been another great year here at the Lodge and I would like to thank everyone for the continued support of our Lodge, Mooseheart and Moosehaven.  It is greatly appreciated and welcomed by all that are involved.  We truly couldn’t do it without you!

With that being said, let’s continue to have another great year at Lodge #1823, in 2020!  Be on the lookout for new and exciting changes here at the Lodge and with the Moose Fraternity!  Notices will be in the foyers as well as on table tents and around the Social Quarters.  For example, we will be having our annual Moose Legion Reverse Raffle in April with tickets to go on sale shortly.  It is always a fun evening for all that attend!  We have started a new game of Thursday evening before our Queen of Hearts drawing.  It’s called Show Me the Money and has gotten off to a popular start!  Come on down beginning at 7 PM and try your luck!

There is a new message board out on the front of our Lodge home so passers-by can get an idea of what we do and possibly want to join this great organization!  Information is king in this day and age so why not share it with the world!

As always, we will have our weekly events including cornhole on Wednesday evening, Trivia of 1st and 3rd Fridays, pool league on Sunday and there is interest in resurrecting Euchre on Monday evenings.  Other events are in the works so stay tuned to the Mobile app and the Lodge white boards.

Thanks to the Women of the Moose for putting on a great children’s Christmas party!  Your dedication to the Local Secret Santa program is appreciated as well!  Special thanks to everyone that had a part in both of these special events and an EXTRA LARGE THANK YOU to Santa for dropping by to see all of our future Moose!

If you are a Veteran, I encourage you to join our Valued Veterans Activity Group and attend their meetings.  There is nothing quite like the bond of shared military service, so why not join in the fun and fellowship of their gatherings.  Details about joining the group and their meeting times are available at the Lodge or talk to a Lodge Officer and they can put you in touch.

Let’s make this another great year and continue your support as well as bringing your family and friends along to help grow the Fraternity!  Thank you again to our Board of Officers, our Social Quarter's staff and to everyone that has donated time, energy and effort at the Lodge!  Be safe in the New Year and keep enjoying your Lodge home!

See you around the Lodge!

Governor Steve
